How the Kerala Dhanalekshmi Draw Is Conducted (Official Procedure)
The draw follows the Kerala Paper Lotteries Regulation Rules, 2005:
- The draw is held using a random mechanical device.
- The process is supervised by a panel of minimum 3 judges, including a Chairman.
- If judges are unavailable, the Director may choose members from the audience.
- Before the draw begins, officials explain the functioning of the draw machine.
- The draw may be telecast live through TV channels or official social media.
- Numbers are drawn for each prize category in ascending/descending order.
- If the machine draws an unsold number, the process is repeated.
- Duplicate numbers are cancelled and redrawn.
- All winning numbers are recorded, verified and signed by the judges.
- If technical issues occur, a manual draw (drum and coin) method is used.
